牛津大学（University of Oxford）是英语世界历史最悠久的大学，有明确记载的授课历史可追溯至1096年，位于英国牛津市，整座城市与大学融为一体，被誉为大学中的城市。学校采用独特的书院联邦制，由39所自治书院和四个学术学部组成，实行举世闻名的导师制（Tutorial System）——每周一到两名学生与导师面对面深入研讨，培养了极强的批判性思维与学术表达能力。牛津在人文、社会科学、医学、数学、物理、法律等领域全面领先，政治、经济与哲学（PPE）专业被称为培养英国首相的机器。学校共培养了30多位英国首相、70余位诺贝尔奖得主，校友涵盖克林顿、霍金、托尔金、钱钟书等政要、科学与文学巨匠。博德利图书馆为欧洲最古老的图书馆之一，藏书超1300万册；阿什莫林博物馆是世界第一座大学博物馆；牛津大学出版社为全球规模最大的大学出版社。学校还拥有阿斯利康新冠疫苗研发等重大现代医学成果，牛津纳米孔、DeepMind（创始人本科就读）等科技企业与学校渊源深厚。录取竞争极为激烈，本科申请通过UCAS且每人每年只能申请牛津或剑桥之一。本科申请需通过学院与专业双重筛选，面试以学术辩论著称。对人文、医学与数理方向的申请者，牛津的导师制提供了全球独一无二的个性化训练。
